The Dade City Police Department maintains two Intoxilyzer 8000 machines with serial number 80-001073 and 80-005477. The current agency inspector is Officer Dean Baldwin.

Any problem with the monthly or yearly inspections of the breath test machines can be used to show a lack of substantial compliance with the administrative rules that govern how the machines are to be used and maintained.

Our Dade City DUI attorneys conduct an audit of the machine used in your case to determine whether a motion to exclude the breath test reading can be filed because of a lack of substantial compliance with the administrative rules.

Because of problems with the machines in Dade City, drunk driving suspects arrested by the Dade City Police Department are often taken for breath testing using the Intoxilyzer 8000 machines maintained by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office at the jail located in Land O Lakes, FL.

Obtaining Police Video Recordings

The Dade City Police Department uses in-car video systems manufactured by Apollo Video Technology, a mobile video surveillance provider. The car fleet is equipped with a surveillance system that records traffic stops, police chases, and roadside investigations.

The RoadRunner system also provides immediate access to live video feeds of areas throughout the police facility including the sally port, breathalyzer room, booking area, lobby, holding cell, and parking lot. These videos taken at the station are particularly important in DUI cases in Dade City, FL.

After your arrest, your criminal defense attorney can help you find any video recordings related to your case so that the evidence can be used during your formal review hearing to contest the administrative suspension of your driver’s license. The video can also be used in court during a motion hearing or trial.
