New Plant City Courthouse

The new Plant City Courthouse is opened. This two story 60,000 square foot courthouse in Plant City replaced the old courthouse that was located aross the street at 302 N. Michigan Avenue. The new courthouse is right next to the Plant City Service Center for the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

The new courthouse includes four courtrooms which provide enough space for conducting jury selection and jury trials in criminal cases. Felony cases are not currently heard in Plant City because of lack of inmate holding facilities.
